I have been an original singer songwriter since 1977. At age 10 my first composition titled MOVIE STAR was completed on guitar. By age 12 I had several more songs written including the song LIFE, a story about my life up to then.

My father passed away when I was very young and I think this affected the way I looked at life in a big way. I looked to my music as a way to express myself and my goals became fixed on reaching the world through song. I was compelled to tell the stories of my life and that of others I've observed along the road. Performing in a variety of music genres encompassing Country, Folk, R&B, Heavy Metal and Rock and Roll I began to create song after song and hone my skills on many instruments. In addition to singing I now perform on 4 string bass, 6 and 12 string guitars, mandolin, flute, accordion, piano, drums and harmonica.

My musical history includes working with a plethora of local, regional and national musicians to include Danny and The Juniors (famous for their 50’s hit “At The Hop”) and Joey Molland from the band Badfinger. Working as a studio engineer at the renowned WAMI award-winning recording studio Walls Have Ears, I have had the pleasure to create and be a part of the vision of many musical groups. My signature work can be found on numerous CD demos and full-length releases from around the tri-state area and abroad. I have logged thousands of hours on the stage and studio and have toured from coast to coast performing in well-known venues to include The Whiskey A Go-Go in Los Angeles, The Spiral in New York City and the Eagles Ball Room in Milwaukee. I am now performing consistently throughout the Plains, Midwest and Eastern states and am starting to cover the Southern region as well. Performing around 12 shows a month on average I can be found at festivals, casinos, night clubs and private events.
Here are some recent reviews of my music:
"We are so glad to have had Chris Boyden and Mostly Water play at our FULL THROTTLE TOUR 2013 - Indie Music Fest as our headliner! The guitar playing and vocals were extraordinary with tasteful licks and lightning speed coupled with a great vocal range and original tunes so unique that they create their own genre. Eric, the drummer and the bass player together laid a solid, tight rhythm section that had all the people in awe. Thanks again Mostly Water for a great job!!"
